How 2v2 Tag Match works (Friend Battle)
- Two players per team (one starter, one substitute); the match begins 1v1 between each team's starters
- The substitute spectates the ally's fight in real time until tagged in
- When a starter falls, the substitute is tagged in at their own character's full HP, while the opponent keeps their remaining HP (the fight carries over)
- The match ends the moment both members of one team are down
- On timeout (180s) the server totals each team's HP (active player's remaining HP + a living substitute's full HP); the higher team wins, equal totals draw
- Choose 1v1 or 2v2 when creating the room; it starts once all four slots (two per team) are filled
